VIP Wedding Films was founded in 2011 by Derek Sweeney, originally under the name Ultimate Moments Videography. What began as a small passion project quickly grew, and in 2023 we rebranded as VIP Wedding Films — with the same heart, the same values, and the same love for capturing real wedding stories.
Based in Ayrshire, we’ve filmed over 1,000 weddings across Scotland. We’re known for being friendly, relaxed, and easy to have around, while still delivering a highly professional service from start to finish. We genuinely love what we do, and we think that shows in the way we work and the relationships we build with our couples.
To capture your day beautifully, we use a mix of DSLR cameras, high‑quality camcorders, handheld gimbals, and professional RØDE microphones. This allows us to film naturally and smoothly, while recording vows, speeches, and those in‑between moments with crystal‑clear sound.
Over the years, our dedication has been recognised with several top UK wedding awards — something we’re incredibly proud of. But at our core, we’re simply a small team who love telling real stories: the laughter, the nerves, the happy tears, and everything in between.
