Meet the Team
Hi, We are VIP Wedding Films- Scotland. We film in a totally discreet and natural style, so that when filming we blend into the background to ensure that every moment of your special day or event is captured perfectly. We are fun, friendly and take great pride in our business and would be honoured to be part of your special day.
DEREK
Derek has always had a passion for film and media and has been a film maker for over 30 years.
Derek worked in retail management for over 20 years, before deciding to turn his hobby into a business and has never looked back.
When not filming or editing, he loves watching sport, mostly football and golf and going walks with his two dogs, Paddy & Jak.
Derek was for many years a keen "munro bagger" but doesn't get the opportunity to do as many hill walks now due to the business keeping him busy.
Another passion is travelling and has visited so many wonderful cities and countries over the last 10 years.

MAUREEN
Maureen originally from Northern Ireland, graduated with a degree in Music from Cardiff University and post graduate diploma in Opera from the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester.
After many years on stage and screen, teaching and singing, Maureen decided on a change of career and along with Derek is a director of VIP Wedding Films.
Maureen is along with Derek primary organiser of our twice annual VIP Wedding Fayre and Wedding Open Evenings.
Maureen deals with most of the background roles now as a few years ago she branched out as a Wedding Celebrant and is a fully qualified marriage officer.

ALEJANDRO VALERA LOSA
Alejandro started working freelance for VIP Wedding Films in 2015 and has enjoyed filming over 250 weddings for the company.
Born in Cuba, Alejandro owns his own successful film making company and enjoys filming short movies and documentaries here in Scotland and in his native Cuba, where he is a well known film maker and producer.
He is vastly experienced and loves working with VIP Wedding Films and capturing your day in his own trademark way.
