Your Wedding Filmmaker
I’m the face behind VIP Wedding Films — a wedding filmmaker, storyteller, and someone who genuinely loves what I do.
I started the business back in 2011 as Ultimate Moments Videography, before becoming VIP Wedding Films in 2022. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of filming over 1,000 weddings across Scotland, meeting some amazing people, visiting incredible venues and witnessing more emotional moments, funny speeches and questionable dance moves than I can remember! For me, it’s all about capturing the real moments — the laughter, nerves, happy tears and little looks you might not even realise are happening — while keeping everything relaxed and natural.
When I’m not behind the camera or editing, I’m usually spending time with my wife Maureen, who is also a wedding celebrant, and our Malshi, Jak. We love getting away on holiday, exploring new places and touring Scotland. I’m also a proud Liverpool supporter, follow my hometown team Ayr United, and like to think I can play a bit of golf — although my golf game might tell you otherwise! I’m also a big fan of a good true crime documentary or movie when I’m having a quiet night in.
I feel incredibly lucky to do a job I genuinely love. I get to meet fantastic people, be part of some of the biggest days of their lives and turn those moments into films they can enjoy for years to come. For me, that’s what makes it all worthwhile.

Meet Alejandro
Your Wedding Filmmaker
Alejandro joined VIP Wedding Films in 2015 as a freelance filmmaker and has since filmed over 400 weddings across Scotland.
Originally from Cuba, he brings a wealth of experience in filmmaking, editing and producing, along with his own creative and artistic style. Couples love his calm nature, warm personality and the way he captures all those genuine moments that make a wedding day so special — from the big emotional moments to the fun, laughter and everything in between.
When he’s not filming weddings, Alejandro runs his own production company, creating Cuban films, short movies and documentaries. His life between Scotland and Cuba, along with his travels across Europe and South America, gives him a wonderfully creative and multicultural outlook.
Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife Farah and their son, Diageo, as well as working on new creative projects whenever inspiration strikes.
Alejandro has a real passion for storytelling and loves finding those little moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. For him, every wedding is a new story to tell, and his relaxed approach and cinematic eye help turn those moments into films that are full of personality, emotion and heart. We’re incredibly lucky to have him as part of the VIP Wedding Films team.
